The fourth home video game console made by Nintendo and the first to use optical discs as a storage medium. Since the Gamecube uses miniDVDs instead of traditional full sized discs it does not have DVD or Audio CD playback abilities.
Gamecube has ports for four controllers and two memory card slots. There is the option for an attached Broadband adapter for online play as well as the ability to connect the Game Boy Advance to access certain features in select titles or to use as a controller for the Game Boy Player.
